WIll the Bestop Supertop Part # B76301 Reduce Fuel Efficiency on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma

Hello, I am interested in this product, but am concerned that the height above the cab will reduce highway mpg or create other problems with the topper. I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Long Bed 62 Thanks,

As you mentioned, the Bestop Supertop for Truck Collapsible Bed Cover part # B76301 is going to extend vertically above the cab of your 2012 Toyota Tacoma, 3-4" to be exact. This will intrun create more drag however, the drag that you experience is not really going to affect fuel efficiency as it will offset with the drag you would have had with the tailgate up. It may even increase fuel economy as there will be less drag with the 3-4" fabric than there would be with the 32" (on average) tailgate.

With that being said I do not believe that the potential for increased drag (unlikely) should stop you from using this cover as it is an excellent option to expand the weather-resistant cargo space of your Tacoma. I have attached a photo of the cover installed for you as well.
