Question:
I have a 2007 Subaru Outback Legacy Wagon. Which of the racks extends the furthest to the back of the vehicle? I have a Thule T2 Pro XT - 2 Bike Hitch Rack and have seen in one review where a similar rack didnt clear the bumper when in the up position.

It sounds like you are looking for the trailer hitch receiver that will work best with your 2007 Subaru Outback Legacy Wagon and your Thule T2 Pro XT bike carrier 9034XT. With that bike rack the closest part of the rack when folded is 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole, so I'll give you a fit based on that dimension.
The only 2 inch receiver we have for your vehicle is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75560 which has a measurement of 6 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper. To make this fit with your bike rack, I recommend using the Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver 7" # HE06 along with the Gen-Y Iron Grip Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for 2" Hitch Receivers - 5/8" Diameter Item # GY39FR to give you the lock and anti-rattle this hitch was designed to utilize. The use of a hitch extension will reduce the tongue weight rating of your hitch by 50% but you will still be well within the rating with this bike rack when loaded even to the bike rack's rated capacity.
