Question:
I was told to purchase one of these controllers by my mechanic, as he says they are a quality controller and work well. My question: My truck is a 1994 Ford F350.......7.3 diesel..will this controller work with my truck? Thank you.

Your mechanic is a smart person. The P2 # 90885 is an excellent brake controller because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. You can install it in your 1994 Ford F-350 diesel.
If your truck came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then the only other part you will need to install the controller is wiring harness # 3035-P which will allow you to plug the controller directly into the truck.
If your truck came with a factory 4-Way then you will still use 3035-P but you will also need # 37185 and possibly some additional wire such as # 12-1-1, sold by the foot, to reach the tow package wiring that is along the rear frame rail. On models with the factory 4-Way you will follow the 4-Way forward under the truck where it plugs into another harness. Under the covering to the wiring for this another connector there are additional wires not being used. There is a blue wire which will go to the blue wire on 37185 and an orange wire which will go to the black wire on 37185. I have linked a help article with additional information.
And if your truck does not have either a 4-Way or 7-Way factory installed connector you will need to add them. To start you will need to install # 118316. Then to add the 7-Way and the wiring for the brake controller you will need # ETBC7. I have included some links on this as well.
