How To Install the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock Part # PAL8100 on a 2006 Dodge Dakota

Question:
In the drivers side kick panel the tan and grey wires are not active during the lock/unlock operation. I know that is what the instructions say, but I was not able to replicate it. Which colored wires in there actually control the door lock/unlock operation?

I called my contact at Pop&Lock about the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock part # PAL8100 for your 2006 Dodge Dakota and they informed me that the correct wire you will need to splice into is the solid light green wire for the lock and the tan/light green wire or the purple/black wire for the unlock. If you choose the tan/light green wire then the tailgate will unlock with the first click of the unlock button on your key fob but if your choose the purple/black wire then the tailgate will unlock with the second click of the unlock button on your key fob.
