Wiring Harness for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee With Factory Tow Package

Question:
I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lerado and the install of your trailer hitch appears to be straight forward. I did look under the rear bumper and I see trailer wiring tucked behind the bumper. Do I need to purchase a wiring harness to connect to the hitch ? How best do I attach the current wiring connector to the hitch? I would like to complete my order today but I do want to make sure I order what is needed. Also, I see referenced install videos. Can you direct me to them? Thank you.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75699 is one of the easiest trailer hitches to install on your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Manufacturers rate the difficulty of the installation for their products and Draw-Tite has this at a 3 out of 10.
Since your Grand Cherokee already has the factory tow package I highly recommend installing the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness # 74682. This comes with 7-Way and 4-Way connectors which will fit for almost any towing or accessory application you will come across. This comes with a mounting bracket but I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18140 to keep from having to drill into your vehicle or the trailer hitch.
Also please note that it may be necessary to see a local Jeep dealer to activate the tow package wiring circuit.
I have attached videos of both the trailer hitch and the wiring being installed on similar Jeeps for you to check out.
