Bike Rack Compatibility with 2017 Chevy Volt

Question:
I was wondering if this will fit a Chevrolet volt 2017? What i am more worried about is the bumper clearance. I am not sure if the that there is enough room between the bumper and the where the first latch is to store it or deploy it. Thank you for the input.

If you don't already have a trailer hitch for your 2017 Chevy Volt, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # C11436 which is a custom fit. This hitch will have a measurement of 5-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper. You will also need the required stabilizer strap # 18050.
If you want a clamp style frame mount bike rack, then I recommend the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B which will give you a measurement of 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the closest wheel tray. I also recommend the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock # SA3022 and cable lock # e98891.
