Troubleshooting 4-Pole Wiring Harness 118566 Installation in 2014 Ford Escape
Question:
I installed 118566 wiring harness, the tail lights and directional lights work fine. I have 12 vdc to the module, but I have nothing showing on any of the terminals of the 4 terminal plug. Any suggestions? This is on a 2014 Ford Escape

Thank you for your recent purchase of the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118566 which is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Ford Escape.
Since you have confirmed that you have the required +12V power reaching from the battery to the converter module and that the Escape's own lighting functions are operating correctly the two likely causes are either a defective or damaged harness or that the plug-in connectors that attach at the taillights are not fully seated together.
Try disconnecting and then re-connecting the plugs, making sure both sides of those connections are solid and fully seated together. You can test for a connection by applying a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to the wires leading into the converter module. If the signals are entering the box as they should but you have no output, then the unit should be replaced under warranty.
