Question:
How durable are these skid wheels the reviews are mixed? I am rubbing when i pull out of my driveway and am weighing my options. Thanks

Skids wheels come in several varieties and sizes but what they all have in common is that they are intended to 'take the hit' from ground contact instead of your RV's frame or hitch doing so. How long any set of skid wheels will last depends on how often and how hard they impact the road. As this is pretty tough to quantify these items do not have weight ratings per se. Most are recommended based on the RV length.
A larger size skid wheel like bolt-on kit # UF48-979014 is apt to make contact more often than a smaller set like weld-on kit # UF48-979021 on a given RV. Ideally you will install the smallest set to allow for the wheels to make contact as infrequently as possible while still providing an alternative to your RV frame or hitch doing so.
If you end up having to replace skid wheels every season or two that is still much less costly than RV hitch or frame repair.
