Question:

Hello, Can you provide some guidance on which hitch and accessories I would need for a 2016 Honda Accord sedan? I will only be towing items with trailer under 1100 lbs.

I took a look at the owner's manual for a 2016 Honda Accord and though you will be able to tow a trailer, please keep in mind that the maximum your Accord can tow is 1,000 lbs.

To do so you would need to start with a trailer hitch, and I recommend the Curt # C11496 which has a 1-1/4" receiver and is a bolt-on installation so there will be no drilling into your Accord's frame.

In addition to a hitch you are also going to need to add a wiring harness to power your trailer's lights, and for the Sedan (non-hybrid) you need Wiring Harness # 118684.

Finally, you will need a ball mount and hitch ball to connect your trailer to. The recommended ball mount for your hitch is the Draw-Tite # 3593 and depending on your trailer's coupler you will use 1-7/8" hitch ball # 19256 or 2" hitch ball # 19258.
