The DeeZee Hardware Series Truck Bed Toolbox # DZ8170SB may work with a headache rack on your 1998 Chevy C/K Series truck but it depends on the headache rack you have. The only rack we carry that will work with this toolbox is the Westin HDX # 57-8025 (black) or # 57-8023 (white).
This rack will work with toolboxes that are up to 70 inches wide, and the DeeZee # DZ8170SB is 69-3/4" Long x 20" wide x 12-1/5" tall so it would work. I will also add the installation instructions for this toolbox for you to take a look at.
