On the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885, the Red or Orange wire is the stoplight switch wire, connected to the light blue/white wire. If a custom brake-control wiring adapter is not available for your Jeep Wrangler, the you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit includes wiring and accessories required for installation of a trailer brake controller in your vehicle This kit also includes the fuses you need.
If the adapter is available, you just need. a 20-Amp circuit breaker # 9506P for 2 to 4-brake applications or 30-Amp circuit breaker # 38630 for 6 to 8-brake applications. Just make sure you connect the red wire to the cold side of the stop light switch which only shows power when the brake pedal is pressed. That wire may be light blue or white. But you need to test for function to be sure you have the correct wire. The LCD Digital Circuit Tester # PTW2992 may help you with this process.
