Is Thule Force XT Roof Cargo Box Rainproof
Published 01/31/2018 >
Question:
Is Thule 628 Force L waterproof. When storing luggage or soft sided bags/backpacks will it keep everything dry inside? If water does get inside is there a way for escape where the items arent sitting in a pool of water?

In order for something to be waterproof it needs to be able to be submerged and not let any water in. What the Thule Force L # TH6357B is considered is "weatherproof" which means that it has a seal that does an excellent job keeping moisture out from rain or snow. We've had a couple customers come back and say that this box did a great job in heavy rain and winds so I would confidently say that this will keep your cargo dry. But if it's something that will get damaged if it gets wet I would strongly recommend wrapping in a plastic bag before loading it into the box.
There isn't a drain in the box though to allow water to run off though.
