Question:
I may be buying this, Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver, for the 2010 Fusion. My question concerns the wiring. Im looking for the cleanest appearance. No dangling wiring harness. I would be using the TowReady 11842 wiring package. I would like to know which of the following would give me the best install, the 11849 universal mtg bracket tie-wrapped to the hitch frame, or the 18144 with long or short adapter using hose clamp. I cant tell from pictures or video what the clearance of the hitch frame is from the rear exhaust trim panel. Ex if i used the 11849 uni bracket attached to the hitch frame, is there clearance to hook up the plug from the trailer? Thanks for assistance, tried to explain clearly.

For trailer wiring for your 2010 Ford Fusion the T-One kit part # 118422 would be the best option. This brand of trailer wiring is the most reliable that we offer so we recommend it highly.
It would work great with the Draw Tite hitch part # 24865 which is also a fit for your 2010 Ford Fusion.
The 4-way stores in the trunk area of your vehicle when not in use so you wouldn't need to come up with a way to secure it to the hitch tube or bumper area.
Having the 4-way run out of the back hatch is actually the preferred method although it seems like it wouldn't be. Having the 4-way stored inside the cab of the keeps it protected from rain and moisture to prevent corrosion and keeps it protected from damage to the wiring or connector by rocks or debris that might be on the highway.
