There is an adapter that will work for you, the Hopkins Endurance Flex-Coil Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47043. This will convert your 7-pole, blade-style vehicle-end connector for use with a 4-wire round connector. I've added a link to a video review of this product for you to take a look at.

There will be a way for you to make it work, but you will need to cut off your 4-way round plug and use # 18004 to wire in a 4-way flat. From there you can use the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716 to connect the trailer plug and 4-way. Replacing a 4-round plug is going to be beneficial for you because they are much less common than the 4-flat and will cause more difficulty than necessary.
