Question:

I want to cut out the rubber hose to alluminium pipe fitting which is liaking, and put inbetween a compression fitting. What do i need? How do i measure size of pipe or fitting required? The crimp fitting is leaking on transmission line on 2006 chrysler sebring 2.7 litres, from tranny to radiator.

The Derale Transmission Line Compression Fitting Kit is designed to allow for you to connect a rubber hose to a steel line. The lines coming from the transmission are generally steel and the aftermarket transmission coolers will almost always use rubber hoses therefore, a fitting to connect the factory steel transmission cooler lines to the rubber hoses on an aftermarket transmission cooler is needed.

The factory steel transmission lines on your 2006 Chrysler Sebring are most likely a 5/16" diameter line and the rubber hoses running to an aftermarket transmission cooler are most likely 3/8" diameter lines which would require the use of part # D13031 in order to mate the two together. You will want to measure them to be sure using a standard tape measure or digital caliper like part # PTW80157.
