Question:

Good morning, I just purchased a 2017 F350 Super Duty long bed and will be installing the TracRac SR on it. I need to use the SR as I will at times be pulling a 5th wheel and will need to be able to move the rack out of the way when necessary. I was planning on installing it with the BAK Revolver X2 but am concerned with how it will work in the winter months if I need to roll it up. I am interested in also considering a folding tonneau cover that has access from the front or rear. I am interested to know which covers will work with the TracRac SR so I can make a decision as to which one to purchase. Thanks!

The only tonneau cover we have confirmed to work with the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # TH43003XT-000 on your 2017 Ford F-350 with the 8' bed is the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover part # BAK39331. The BAK Revolver X2 mounts inside the bed rails and the TracRac SR mounts on top of the bed rails which is why they are compatible with one another.

You will have no problems while using the BAK Revolver X2 in the winter months. The aluminum slats will not fold under the added weight of snow piling on top and the latching mechanism will be covered at all times therefore you should not have any worries of them freezing.
