What keeps this DeeZee Heavyweight, Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat # DZ86928 from blowing out is the weight of the mat combined with the fact that there is no portion of the mat that wind can get underneath.

My parents had a mat very similar to this in one of their trucks and it never once acted like it would blow out on the highway.

Unless you wanted to bolt it to the floor of your truck bed there is nothing that physically attaches it to your truck bed to prevent theft. These things are typically so big and heavy that most thieves do not bother trying to make off with one.
