Question:
2018 Equinox. Installed the harness, put a tester on and checked lights, brakes, turn signals. Everything works, I did not install the two relays. What is the purpose of the relays?

Expert Reply:
Sometimes a vehicle, like your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, will come with the factory tow package but for some reason will not include relays. The relays included with the Curt T-Connector # C56375 that you purchased are intended to be used to activate the lighting functions. If relays are already installed then you can save them in case one of your relays ends up needing to be replaced in the future.
