Recommended Tonneau Cover for use with a 5th Wheel Hitch on a 2002 GMC Sierra with an 8 Foot Bed

Most of our soft, roll up tonneau covers that mount on top of the bed rails will work in 5th wheel applications as long as the head of the 5th wheel hitch does not exceed the height of the bed rails. Though a tri-fold cover that mounts inside the bed rails may still work for you, the reduced clearance for the hitch head and lack of opening from the cab to the tailgate poses a problem for certain trucks/hitches.

For your 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 with an 8' bed, I recommend taking a look at the TruXedo TruXport Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover part # TX281601. The TruXedo TruXport mounts on top of the bed rails and rolls up to the cab with included straps for security.
