Is the hitch mostly hidden? Does part of the bumper need to be cut?

When installed on a 2008 Volvo S80, the cross tubing of Draw-Tite Trailer hitch # 36466, will be visible beneath the bottom most part of the rear fascia. I have included a link to the installation instructions that include a drawing that should give you a good idea of where the hitch will be position once installed.
The rear bumper or fascia does not have to be trimmed. There is a heat shield underneath that may have to be trimmed a little in order for the hitch to fit properly.
If you are planning to do some towing, the recommended ball mount is # 36061, and you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a ball, you can sue # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter). For trailer wiring, use T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118454. I have also included a link to the installation instructions for the wiring.
