Is this a good choice for a Gary Lee ladder rack with welded post to mount bike rack. This will be a vertical application on a Vanagon

I do have bike rack options that were created for RV ladders, but the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier # RBC035 has not been rated or tested for vertical use.
I have attached a link to our selection of RV ladder mount bike racks which includes the popular Stromberg Carlson Bike Carrier # LA-102. This bike rack can carry up to 2 bikes that have a combined weight of 50 lbs. It includes clamps to secure the bike rack to your ladder and the bikes to the bike rack but I also recommend using a cable lock # e98891 to help deter theft of your equipment.
Please keep in mind that these bike rack options are meant to be installed on straight ladders that do not have a bend in them. If your ladder has a bend in it then it would be better to use a roof rack or a hitch mount bike carrier option.
