Question:
hello, I would like to purchase the tekonsha P3 brake controller for my 2005 honda pilot ex with dealer install hitch and 4 pole trailer connector. Will your Tekonsha P3 with the ridgeline adapter wire kit Code: 90195-3070P fit my 2005 pilot or will I have to just order the Tekonsha P3 alone and do the manual hardwiring? if this is the case, please tell me which items that I need to purchase to install a 7 pole trailer connector for my car while using the tekonsha P3. Thanks in advance!

In order to install the Tekonsha P3, # 90195, on your 2005 Honda Pilot, you will need to hardwire it to the vehicle as the Pilot does not have a port to plug in a wiring harness. You will need only 2 parts in addition to the brake controller.
First, I recommend getting a circuit tester like # PTW2993, unless you already have one. The only other part needed is a 4- and 7-Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. This kit provides all the wiring needed to install a brake controller and 7-Way trailer connector to your vehicle. I have included links to FAQ articles and a video that explain how to install the ETBC7.
