Question:

I have 2 Subaru Outback Wagons, 2011 and 2017. I am looking for a Kayak rack to hold 2 kayaks. The J style looks to be the most sturdy to carry locally as well as on the highway for longer trips. Any recommendations on which one? I have factory installed roof racks. Thank you.

J-style kayak carriers like Rhino-Rack # S510 are easy to use since they face outward away from the car's roof for easier loading. But we do offer multi-kayak carriers like the Yakima JayLow # Y04073, also a J-style, that can carry one or two kayaks depending on how you set it up. Another multi-kayak carrier, the Stacker from Thule # TH830, allows transport of up to 4 kayaks on the one carrier. Videos for both carriers are linked for you.
