Question:
I am new to towing and I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a Rock Hard aftermarket bumper and the Jeep will be lifted 3.5 with 35 tires. I have a 2011 Damon 40 inch DP that has a Blue Ox tow bar. The Blue Ox tow brackets are mounted to my front bumper. I was given the RM 9700 by the previous owner and I want to make sure its the best option for my set up. My Jeep is the only vehicle that will be towed and we are going full time very soon. I do a lot of offroading with the Jeep so the system attachments will need to up and out of the way. I want to make sure my RM 9700 will be a good choice for me. If the RM 9700 is not something you guys recommend feel free to suggest something that will work better. I just want to get it right the first time. Thank you for your help.

The Roadmaster 9700 Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9700 is a very good Supplemental Braking System option that will serve you well while flat towing your 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The main reason that some people choose to not use a portable towing system like the 9700 is because they do not want to store it or have to install it every time they get ready to flat tow.
For people that have this viewpoint (and if you would rather not have to do that) we recommend a permanent install braking system. From my research your 2011 Damon has air brakes so the best system for you is the Air Force One # SM99243. A system designed for air brakes prevents false braking in the Jeep because the brakes aren't activated by the coach's tail lights.
It sounds like you pretty much have a complete setup, but just in case you are not sure you will want to make sure that you have a Tow Bar, Base Plate Kit, Supplemental Braking System, Safety Cables, Vehicle Tow Bar Wiring, and a High-Low Adapter for a level flat towing setup.
Since you already have the Tow Bar, Base Plate Kit, Supplemental Braking System, I will give you some recommendations for the other options.
The RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 are what I recommend for Safety Cables because they are rated for 6,000 lbs which is more than enough for your Jeep, but they are also coiled which will help to prevent them from dragging on the ground.
The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 is a great option for Vehicle Tow Bar Wiring because once you have it installed you will simply plug in the coiled wire into the 7-Way at the rear of your RV and the 6-Way into the connector on your Wrangler. You will also need to install the Brake Light Relay # RM-88400.
To determine the correct High-Low Adapter for your flat towing setup I have attached a helpful article as well as our selection of High-Low Adapters for you to choose from.
I have also attached some installation videos you can check out.
Be sure to check your owner's manual for any special instructions for flat towing.
