Dimension Of Drop When Using Reese Weight Distribution Shank # RP54998 With Round Bar System

Question:

Hi On your website you state that the Reese WD54998 has a 2 3/4inch for a round bar system where as Reese themselves quote 4 1/8inch for round! Can you explain please? Many thanks

Expert Reply:

I reached out to the manufacturer and they stated that the round bars can have up to 4-7/8 inch rise or 6-7/8 inch drop with round bars when you use the Reese Weight Distribution Shank - 16,000 lbs # RP54998.

They also stated that trunnion bars will subtract 1 inch from each of the rise and drop measurements.
