I have the perfect option that will allow you to carry your day 6 bike on either a 1-1/4" or 2" trailer hitch receiver.

For this, I recommend using the Swagman XC-Extended Platform-Style 2 Recumbent Bike Rack part # S64650-EXT as the wheel hoops extend outward to account for the long wheelbase of the Day 6. This bike rack is compatible with bikes that have up to a 66" wheelbase. As long as you bike is not more than 35 lbs, This bike rack should work well for you. You will also want to consider the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks part # S64031 to lock the bike to the bike rack and the bike rack to the hitch receiver.

If you have an electric Day 6 bike, you will want to use the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack for Recumbents part # SA4412B-R as this bike rack has a 60 lb. capacity per bike which will be needed for the heavier electric models. In addition to weight capacity, the Saris bike rack can carry bikes with a wheelbase up to 57" and will also work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitch receivers. To deter theft of your Day 6 bike, I also recommend using the Saris Cable Lock part # SA981.
