To install the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11458 on your 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, I recommend checking a local mechanic or auto shop. Trailer hitch installation is a fairly simple process for experienced mechanics and any reputable shop should be able to handle it without issue.
This particular Curt Trailer hitch, which is confirmed to fit your vehicle, has an estimated installation time of around 40 minutes. No drilling will be required, however the exhaust will need to be temporarily lowered. The heat shield will also need to be modified or trimmed for the hitch to fit properly. All of the necessary bolts and hardware are included.
I have attached the installation details that you can look through or show a nearby mechanic.
Also keep in mind that Curt requires that a stabilizing strap like # 18050 be used with this hitch for any non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers. I have included a video demonstration on this product so you can see how it works.
