Your 2009 Ford F-150 does have holes in the frame to install a trailer hitch without having to drill into the truck frame. In some cases holes may have to be enlarged using a file or drill but new holes won't have to be drilled.

I also recommend etrailer.com 2-3/4" Rise or 4" Drop Ball Mount Kit - 7,500 lbs Item # EBMK4. It includes a ball mount with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
