It sounds like you have a 5th wheel rail kit like Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10 Bolt # RP30035. If this kit is off an old install, I recommend the Replacement Hardware Kit for Reese 5th Wheel Base Rails - 10 Bolt # RP58504 as that hardware is for one time use only. For your 2010 F-150, you will also need the Reese Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Ford F-150 # RP58426 as the rails are not compatible without it.
I've attached the installation details that give you the rail locations you mention needing, but I'll also give you them. The measurement is from the rear edge of the truck bed (not the tailgate) forward 29-5/16 inches. This measurement is the same for the 8 ft, 6.5 ft, and 5.5. foot box. This distance is where the back edge of the rear rail will be. To position the front rail you use the hitch installed in the rear rail to determine the placement of the front rail.
