I have a infiniti G35 coupe. it also has the Factory Spoiler. also a Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2. i know i would need a 1-1/4inch to 2inch adapter. the hitch for my model car says it needs a strap. how would it attach using this model of bike rack?

There are a couple of things to think about when using Curt trailer hitch # C11483 with a bike rack on your 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe. The first is that the trailer hitch is a Class I rated for 150 pounds tongue weight. The use of an adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. So the combined weight of the bike rack and bikes cannot exceed 75 pounds. The bike rack itself weighs 50 pounds meaning you would only have 25 pounds to work with when loading bikes. That would maybe allow you to carry one bike.
To avoid using an adapter and reducing the tongue weight capacity of the hitch, I recommend that you sell the T2 and replace it with an economical 1-1/4" compatible rack like the Lets Go Aero NEO2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # B01748. This rack will let you carry 2 bikes up to 40 pounds each. Or you could consider the Curt # C18085. This rack weighs just 20 pounds and has an 80 pound capacity. It holds the bikes by the wheels so it is very versatile.
Regarding using the strap # 18050 if you can't put the hook at the front part of the trunk then what I recommend is to close the hook end inside the trunk. As long as you are using it you will be in compliance with the Curt warranty requirements.
