Question:
does the trunnion give more resistance to sway than a round bar. Im deciding between round bar and a trunnion. The traditional round bar load distribution with sway bar dont work, I know I need a more modern system. Not having to deal with a greasy bar or hitch would be nice. Im thinking about the reese sway control with cam system.

Some would say that trunnion spring bars are more heavy duty than round bars but as far as resistance to say I would not say one is better than the other. Trunnion bars provide better ground clearance and are easier to install compared to round bars. But round bars generally cost a little less.
Reese Strait-Line system with trunnion bars # RP66084 is rated for 600 to 1,200 pounds tongue weight. For weight distribution tongue weight consists of the trailer's tongue weight when loaded and ready to tow plus the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
For this system you can use ball # 19286. I have included some links on weight distribution and determining tongue weight for you.
