Can The VanTred Custom Floor Mat # VTNV11 Be Placed On Top Of Existing Carpet In 2014 Nissan NV 3500

I see that you informed another customer that they could cut this mat to fit their NV3500 passenger van. My question is Can it be placed on top of the existing carpet with its grooved bottom or would the existing carpet have to be removed? Thanks

The VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans - Charcoal Gray - Thermoplastic # VTNV11 is a confirmed fit for the 2012-2016 Nissan NV 3500 models. I reached out to the manufacturer and they said this mat is designed to fit the corrugated groves of the metal floor, so you may not have the same traction on the mat if you use it on top of existing carpet, but with that considered you can put it on top of existing carpet it will just move more.
