Question:

I recently had an enclosed utility trailer stolen. It had a Masterlock 379DAT on the coupler. They apparently were able to strip it off easily as the lock was laying in the storage area parking space where my trailer had been. I have ordered a new trailer. My question is, what is the best Fulton coupler lock out there regardless of price? I have read recommendations for Masterlock 378DAT, Guardian G-37, TMUMAX100, etc. I plan on putting a coupler lock and a GPS unit in this trailer. I would value your opinion. Thanks.

The best rated and most popular 2-5/16 inch trailer coupler lock that we carry is the Fastway Universal Trailer Coupler Lock, # DT25013KA. This lock features a pick resistant lock cylinder and dual action, bolt-blocked locking system that locks both arms instead of just one.

If you wanted even more security you could use a Wheel Club - Tire and Wheel Lock, # WI490, on one of your trailer wheels. This wheel lock fits tires up to 28 inches in diameter and 9 inches wide and 13 to 16 inch wheels. I have included a video review of this wheel for reference.

I have heard good things about the GPS system based anti theft devices, if you used one in conjunction with the above mentioned products you would be an extremely difficult theft target.
