Question:
I have a 2001 Acura MDX not the Touring model, I have a 4 Bicycle bike rack 1 1/4 and Im looking for a receiver to mount on my MDX. I will not be towing anything, just loading 3 bikes. Will this product work for what I need? Please let me know, thanks.

The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch, # C11773, is the only trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver that we offer for your 2001 Acura MDX. With a Class I hitch you will be limited to carrying only two bikes at a time per the hitch manufacturer and almost every bike rack manufacturer.
Instead I recommend adding a 2 inch hitch like the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, # 75599. The cost is not much different between the two hitches and you will have a much wider range of hitch accessory compatibility.
If you already have a bike rack with a 1-1/4 inch shank, then you could use a hitch adapter like the Brophy Hitch Reducer, # HT02. A Class III hitch will give you a much higher tongue weight capacity that will allow you to carry more than two bikes.
I have included installation instructions and an installation video of the Draw-Tite trailer hitch for you to check out.
