Question:

Hi support, I have a 1989 Winnebago Elandan. The owners manual says Itasca, and I assume the roof vent is the same as anything else Winnebago and other manufacturers made at the time. I have the ability to completely remove the roof vent. Trying to understand if the replacement vent is a lower profile than the clamp-on version, and are the controls on the replacement vent, lower into the cabin?

Both the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof with the Manual Lift # FV802250 and the Clamp on Fan-Tastic Vent Roof with the Manual Lift # FV801208 have a height of 4-1/2 inches when closed and a height of 11-1/2 inches when opened. Neither of them is higher or lower than the other when installed.

The controls for the fan will be located at about the same height as well. The part # FV802250 has the deeper sides but that does not affect where the control is located.

If you are looking for something a little more low-profile, you can use the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2110SP-24. It doesn't have a fan, but when closed, it only has a height of 2 inches.
