Is the fulton fold-away coupler welded or bolted on the tounge?

The Fulton Fold-Away Hinge Kit, item # FHDPB230101, is designed for bolt-on installation.

If you need a weld on kit, you would use the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit, Weld On, item # FHDPW230300, for your application.

To install either of these foldaway kits you will need to cut the trailer tongue at the desired pivot point, up to 36 inches see table below, and then attach the two sides of the fold away to the cut ends of the trailer tongue. Be careful not to damage any wiring or brake lines ran inside the trailer tongue. Once this is done you will either bolt the ends to the tongue or have a qualified welder weld the ends to the tongue.

If your trailer has a surge brake coupler you will need to install a flexible brake line like the Titan Hydraulic Brake Line with Fittings - 25 inch Long, item # T0980100, inline with the couplers master cylinder and the original brake line so the tongue can fold without damaging the braking system.
