Suspension Enhancement on a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS to Tow a Boat

Question:
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS. I want to put a set of timbrens in the rear for towing my boat. I was wondering if part number TGMRETB would fit. The Trailblazer SS sits an inch or 2 lower than the LS or LT Trailblazers. How long are the timbrens when unloaded?

Expert Reply:
The Timbren System # TGMRETB will install on your 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS but, like you said, the SS model rides lower so there may not be enough clearance for the springs to fit correctly.
The springs themselves measure about 3-3/4 inches so you can measure the spacing and see how much distance you have. You'll want a 1/2 inch to an inch of extra space or your ride will be rough using the Timbrens.
