The Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56208 mentioned in your question is compatible with your 2017 Jeep Cherokee that has the factory tow package installed. This is a custom, plug-in harness that will connect behind your vehicle's tail lights and provide a 4-way flat plug at the front of the Jeep to connect with your motor home. If your RV has a 7-way connector, then I recommend adding the Hopkins Adapter for 7-Way to 4-Wire Flat # HM47065.

To complete your flat towing setup, you will just need a few more things if you do not have them already.

For a Base Plate Kit, I recommend the Blue Ox # BX1136 that has removable draw arms and hidden reinforcements that provide a clean look when your car is not being towed.

For a tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 because of a unique swivel feature and self-aligning arms that make hookup much easier, even on unlevel ground. Safety cables are also included so you will not need to purchase these separately.

For a braking system, I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Proportional System # BLU37TR along with the required relay # RM-88400.
