What is the Best Sealant for Trailer and RV Roof
Updated 02/18/2017 | Published 02/17/2017 >
Question:
what sealant would you recommend on mounting the fantastic vent I just received? Trailer is only 1 1/2 years old. 14foot Palomini by Forest River. Factory sealant is some sort of piled on black gumpucky that doesnt look like it will last very long. Thanks, Bob

I strongly recommend the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297. I used this sealant on my trailer when I replaced a roof vent about 4 years ago and it is still going strong. This sealant does a great job at holding up to dramatic temperature changes without shrinking, drying up or cracking.
This sealant works great on all types of trailer materials including metal, wood, and plastic.
