Installation Requirements & Power Draw of Kat's Heaters Dipstick Engine Oil Heater KH15200

Question:
How deep must the stick be in the oil to not burn out? Also the specs say 90 watts and the description says 1500 watts. What is the wattage? Thanks.

The Kat's Heaters Dipstick Engine Oil Heater # KH15200 has a 23-inch heating element and no less than 5-inches of it must be immersed in your engine oil to avoid overheating and damage to the heater. I confirmed this with my contact at Kat's Heaters.
I also confirmed that this unit draws 90-watts and fits into dipstick openings that are 1/4-inch in diameter or larger.
