We have several Tonneau covers that are designed to work with your 2017 Ridgeline. The cover you came from is not a fit but we do have a similar cover that will work for you.
I recommend the Access Lorado Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover, part # A46039. This cover uses an XT-Dial Weather Seal that helps keep rain, snow and dirt out. The cover itself sits about an inch above the truck bed rails when installed.
There are no covers that are 100 percent weatherproof so if you need something to remain completely dry I recommend placing it in plastic and elevating it a little off the bed to make sure.
