Will Aries Nerf Bars Fit a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 Diesel with DEF Tank

Question:

Are these bars compatible with the DEF tank on the passenger side? Also do they require a vertical lip on the underside of the truck to drill through? Mine is completely flat

Aries nerf bars # AA204045 attach to the rocker panels on your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. Drilling is not required for installation. The brackets use mounting locations already present on the vehicle, see instruction link. There are special brackets that are included for diesel models to avoid interference with the DEF tank. This is mentioned in the instructions in step 10 and on.
