Question:
Whats the difference between the fullback and a half back Nissan rogue 2016 bike rack?

There are some key differences between the Yakima FullBack and HalfBack bike racks. The FullBack has integrated locks and higher quality cradle padding. But one thing they have in common is that neither one is recommended for your 2016 Nissan Rogue. I checked with Yakima and they do not list any of their bike racks for your Rogue. But not to worry because there are other options.
I would recommend installing the hitch, etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" Item # e98846. Then you could get a hitch mounted bike rack like the Yakima LongHaul RV Bike Rack - 4 Bikes # Y02476.
If you don't want to go the hitch mount route, our last option would be the SeaSucker Komodo Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Fork Mount - Vacuum Cup Mounted - Aqua Blue Item # 298-BK1910-AB. This uses suction cups to secure 1 bike.
