If your 2011 Cadillac SRX already has the connector to plug a trailer wiring harness under the rear bumper then all you need for a wiring harness is the Tekonsha Custom Harness # 118259. This plugs directly into the connection and provides you with a 4-way trailer connector that will hang under the Cadillac's rear bumper. We recommend mounting the 4-way, with a mounting bracket, like # 18144.
If your Cadillac did not have the connector under the rear bumper you would need the Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite # 119178KIT hardwired into the car's wiring.
For a trailer hitch receiver, the Curt Class III # C13002 is the 2 inch receiver that offers the highest weight capacity for your vehicle. The towing capacity is 5,000 pounds and the tongue weight is 500 pounds. Check your Cadillac's owner's manual to know the capacities of your car. I've attached an installation video of the hitch for you to take a look at.
The etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900 will complete your tow setup. It includes two ball mounts with a different rise and drop, a 2 inch and a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
