purchased a hardware kit from website and was a tad too long. is there a way to find out the measurements on this hardware kit?

For your Longview Towing Mirrors part # LVT-2300-C the correct hardware kit would be the part # KLV-2310 that you referenced. I am not sure what kit you would have ordered but this kit is exactly what the mirrors would have came with.
