The beauty of an active transmission cooler is that it can do its job of lowering your transmission temperature without relying solely on passive air flow for cooling. Since fan-powered coolers operate effectively at all speeds they will do the best job during lower-speed applications like towing up a steep grade or off-roading where there is no continuous strong airflow to drain away heat from the cooler.
The Class IV cooler I recommend for your Ram 1500 with the HEMI is the Derale # D13504. This is a high-efficiency cooler that measures 11W x 12T x 7/8D Inch. Please refer to the linked video for more.
The Derale # D20561 is intended specifically for Jeep Wranglers.
