Will Bulldog Collar-Lok Trailer Coupler # BD028243 Fit a 3 Inch Wide Tongue

Question:

Hi: This BD028243 bull dog hitch,,, how wide is the inside of the hitch. I have a trlr that has a tongue width of 3inch X 4. Thereby will need the inside of this unit to be 3inch on the inside of the unit. The weld on is ok,,, but I can drill holes into the right position if it comes down to the bolt on site of the one that is on it. These trlr couplers are a joke,,, I really dislike the ones that are on my boat trlr.

The Bulldog Collar-Lok coupler # BD028243 is designed to fit around a 3 inch wide tongue so it is slightly larger than 3 inches on the inside. Since you have a 3 inch wide tongue this coupler will fit. I have included a link to a video review for you.

Drilling holes to bolt on the coupler can void the warranty so it is up to you if you want to do that. Otherwise I have included a link to all of the bolt-on straight tongue couplers we have that fit a 3 inch wide tongue and couple to a 2 inch ball.
