Does Ford Dealer have to Activate Aftermarket Brake Controller on a 2015 Ford F-150
Question:
I recently changed out trucks and want to install my Tekonsha P3 in the recently acquired 2015 F150 without factory installed brake controller. I previously had the controller wired in a Honda Ridgeline. I had connected the wiring harness / added appropriate fuses myself. I am reading a lot on needing the dealer to Activate the brake controller? I cannot definitively tell if this is needed for the OEM controller, or is for any controller plugged into the existing harness. What additional steps will I need to take, beyond getting to the plug and connecting part # 22292? Thanks.

My 2015 doesn't have the brake controller. I can get the in dash controller, but can it be activated and if so can I do it?
