Amperage Draw/BTU Rating/Effect on Vehicle Installed for Flexalite Mohave Vehicle Heater # FLX640
Published 08/19/2016 >
Question:
Hello, I have two questions about Mojave heater and amp draw @ 6 amps and BTUs @ I believe 14000. I would like to know if either would effect engine performance on a 2012 Polaris midsize ranger 500efi? Thank -You.

The heat output of the Flexalite Mohave Vehicle Heater # FLX640 is 12,000 BTU and the amperage draw is 6 amps.
This will actually help your Polaris's engine to run cooler. What this will end up doing is basically acting like a second, smaller radiator. The hot coolant that runs through it will be slightly cooled after running through it. Heaters like this basically act exactly like a small radiator except the wind drawn through the element is directed at you instead of on the engine.
