Question:

I want to carry 2 bikes on my 2016 Nissan Rogue. Can you confirm that these products will work and that Im not missing anything? Hitch 36542 Carrier TH912XTR Carrier lock THSTL2 Cable lock TH538XT I got the part numbers from your site. Love the install videos, as doing it myself will save me money. Thanks.

The 1-1/4-inch Class II trailer hitch # 36542 is a confirmed bolt-on, no-drill installation on your 2016 Nissan Rogue. I linked our install video. The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack # TH9058 will work fine in this hitch, but for the best safety margin I suggest that instead you install a 2-inch Class III hitch # 75902. This offers 50-lbs more tongue weight capacity (downward force on the hitch) and it only costs a few dollars more. Installation will be virtually identical for the two hitches and the Thule rack will work great in the 2-inch hitch.

The Thule locks you referenced, anti-rattle hitch lock # THSTL2 and cable lock # TH538XT, will work great with this rack.

If you prefer you can choose a Thule rack that has locks built-in, such as the EasyFold 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH903202. This rack costs a bit but it also features a great mix of features that could make it the last rack you ever need to buy.
